    July 27 [Thursday]--Public Program--Stop PA Gerrymandering. 
            7 pm at the Main Street Center.

    The League of Women Voters of Clarion County and Indivisible We Rise-Clarion County are hosting a public education program on reforming Pennsylvania’s redistricting process. Fair Districts PA speaker Suzanne Broughton will explain PA’s current redistricting process, demonstrate how it undermines democracy, and then offer a solution to the problem.   Link to pdf transcript of Broughton talk

September 16--  Clarion County Recycling Day, Clarion County  Park, 9 am to 1 pm.
        See  FLYER for list of  acceptable items.  Electronics and  hazardous materials must be

September 17--Constitution Day.  The US Constitution was signed September 17,  1787.

September 19--LWV of Clarion Public Meeting: Single - Payer Healthcare with speaker Ed Grystar. 7 pm Main  Street Center, Clarion.

September 21 [Thursday] UN International Day of Peace,

          September 26--National Voter Registration Day

         September 26--Board Meeting, 5:15 pm,

         September 30  to  October 8 --Clarion County Autumn Leaf Festival


October  10--Last day to register to vote before November Election.

October 17 --
Clarion LWV Public Meeting--Funding Public Education: Challenges and Choices, with Speaker  Susan Spika.  7 pm Clarion Area High School Large Instruction Room on the 2nd floor.

October 24 --Board Meeting, 5:15 pm,  Janice Horn's other house.

October 31--Last day to apply for a civilian absentee ballot.


November 3--Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted civilian absentee ballot.

November 7--Municipal Election  7 am to 8 pmSee our LWVPA Voters Guide pdf .      
    There is an additional Voters Guide for  Retention of Judges.   and Local Coroner Guide.

November 14-- Members meeting.
Election Law Review, Part 2--Focus on Alternate Voting  Systems.  5:30 pm,
Clarion Free Library in the Literacy Council Room, lower level.    

November 29 [Wednesday]--Board Meeting, 3:30 pm,  Janice Horn's other house.


          December 12-- 5:30 pm. Holiday Party. Clarion House Bed and Breakfast.
 December 15--Bill of Rights Day-- 226th anniversary of the adoption
             of the first ten amendments  to the US Constitution.

  No Board meeting in December.


January 16---[Tuesday]    LWVPA National Program Planning Program Planning. 
                 5:30 pm .  Clarion Free Library --Literacy Council Room, lower level.

January 23 ---[Tuesday]   Clarion LWV January Board meeting.
                4 pm Janice Horn’s 2nd house.


February 14--98th Anniversary of the national League of Women Voters.
            First day to circulate and file nomination petitions.

February 20--  Lunch with the County Commissioners. Noon at The Loomis

February 27--

MARCH 2018  Women's History Month

          March ?--Last day to circulate and file nomination petitions.
